June Favourites

Okay, it feels like I only wrote my May favourites last week, this year is going far too quickly!  Anyway, here are the products I have been loving this month.

W7 Automatic Eye Liner – This has changed my life!  Well, slight exaggeration there, but it has definitely made doing  eye liner a lot quicker and easier.  The nib is just really easy to work with and you can get a really precise line. Since I have the waterproof liner, it stays put all day and doesn’t budge!

Revlon Colourstay Gel Envy in Up The Ante – This is the prettiest nail colour ever!  I am obsessed with this colour this month, and the polish itself stays on for 5 to 7 days on my nails, which is amazing!  I first saw this in an Essiebutton video and knew I needed that colour on my nails!

Zoella Soak Opera – This is both a shower gel and a bubble bath, but I have only used it as a shower gel.  I love this scent, its so feminine and smells incredible!  It’s also a really pretty colour, so that’s always a bonus.

Carmex Lip Balm – I am one of these people that suffer from dry lips all year round, and this has been a life saver recently.  I have just started using this as a part of my skincare routine, morning and night, and it has saved my lips from becoming gross and flaky and horrible.  I don’ really like taking it out and about with me, would rather use a stick lip balm, but this is seriously incredible.

Real Techniques Expert Face Brush – This brush is just amazing at giving a flawless base.  Ever since I picked this brush up in boots, I have used it every time for my foundation.  I just really love how it buffs your foundation into the skin and gives an amazing finish and is so easy.

Got2be Texturizing Salt Spray – Okay my hair is naturally wavy, but this has just made them nicer wavy instead of just turning frizzy.  made my life so much easier, I just wash my hair, spray a small amount through the lengths of my hair and leave it to dry naturally and my hair looks lovely and wavy and I have that beach wave thing going on haha!

So those are the things I’ve been loving this month.  What have you been loving this month?  Let me know in the comments below and I hope you have a great day!

My Current Everyday Make Up!

Recently I have been wearing the same make up everyday, I have just been loving the combination so I thought I would share the look with you!

The first thing I do is use a primer and the primer I use is the Rimmel fix and perfect pro primer.  I always use a primer as I feel it definitely makes my make up last so much longer! The next step is my foundation and I use the Rimmel match perfection foundation in the shade  light porcelain.  This is a lovely light and hydrating base that gives light to medium coverage and is a great everyday foundation as I don’t like to wear something heavy everyday. The concealer I use is the Collection lasting perfection concealer in the shade  fair.  I love this concealer, it is so creamy and covers my dark circles and any blemishes perfectly most times, its just amazing!  I then set my concealer with the Rimmel stay matte powder in the shade translucent.  This powder is perfect, doesn’t make my face look cakey or anything.  Then as it is summer and I am so so pale, I bronze my skin up a bit with the Rimmel natural bronze in the shade  sun glow.  This just makes me look slightly more alive in the summer haha!

After my base is complete, I then go onto my brows.  For this I use the Sleek brow kit in dark.  This kit has a wax and a powder and is the perfect match for my brows.  I set my brows with the Rimmel brow this way brow gel.  I love this stuff so much, it keeps my brows in place and also slightly tints them, just amazing!

After my brows are done I move onto my eyes.  For an eye shadow base, I use a Maybelline colour tattoo in the shade creamy beige.  These have amazing staying power, they just don’t budge!  I then use my W7 in the buff: lightly toasted palette and use the shade happy all over the lid and for in the crease I use the shade lady luck.  I then take both shades under my eye and line my upper lid with the W7 auatomatic eye liner.  I curl my lashes then use the Max Factor false lash effect 24 hour mascara.

Last thing I do is my lips, I usually reach for an Avon Lipstick in the shade chic nude and seal it with lipcote.  I then spray my full face with the W7 the fixer to make sure my make up stays on all day!

So that’s my everyday make up, it doesn’t take me too long, usually around 10 minutes.  I hope you like my everyday make up and I hope you have a great day!

What’s In My Bag?

I don’t know about you, but I love seeing what other people carry around in their bags.  So I thought I would do a what’s in my bag post for you all to see what I carry around with me everyday!

My everyday bag that I’ve been using recently is a small black bag from Primark which I got on sale for a fiver, compete bargin!  I love the size and that it is a grained leather effect meaning it will show scratches less.  It has silver detailing which I really like as all my other bags have gold detailing.

In the front zip pocket is where I keep my phone which is the iphone 6.  It is really handy as it means I have easy access to my phone at all times and saves me hunting for it at the bottom of my bag!

In the first of the 2 larger sections is where I keep my purse, portable charger and keys.  My purse is from River Island, I really like this purse although I have had it for around 3 or 4 years so I’m thinking about updating it.  My portable charger comes almost everywhere with me, along with the mini charging cable, it is so useful and I know my phone will never run out of battery.  My keys are pretty standard, I take both my house keys and car key everywhere with me.

In the second section is where I keep my make up bag, a packet of tissues, some painkillers, earphones my sunglasses, mints and body mist.  The make up bag I keep in my bag is this small cream bag from boots and in here I keep essentials that I will need when I’m out.  I keep a hand cream, hand sanitiser, mini deodorant, lip balm, a pocket mirror, a concealer, a liquid liner, mascara and the lipstick I’m wearing that day.  My sunglasses are a pair from Primark, I love the matte black frames of these and the shape of them.  The body mist is the blissful mistful from the Zoella range, its a really lovely scent and it’s great for a top of of fragrance during the day.

So that’s everything I carry with me everyday.  I hope you enjoyed having a peek into my bag and I hope you have a great day!

Mini Nail Polish Haul

I was browsing in H&M the other day and noticed that they sold nail polish! I didn’t actually know they had their own nail polishes, so naturally I had a look and ended up buying 3!

Firstly I bought their quick dry top coat.  I have never actually purchased a quick dry top coat and I actually have no idea why because waiting for my nails to dry is one of my most hated beauty things. I also love that the bottle is quite small, as I never seem to get through larger bottles of polish! I can’t wait to see how quickly this dries and if it is still a good top coat and hopefully cant stop my nails chipping.

Next I picked up a lovely nude polish in he shade “Almost There”.  This is a great every day nail colour and I love a nude nail.  Sometimes I find it hard to get a nude nail polish shade to suit my really pale skin, but I’m hoping for good things from this one!

Lastly I purchased a deep red polish in the shade “An Affair To Remember”.  I love a red nail polish, and I instantly loved this dark red shade as soon as I saw it and I think that it will go really well with my pale skin.

So those are the 3 nail polishes I picked up from H&M and at £1:99 each, they were a bargin! I can’t wait to try these out and let you know what I think of them!  have you tried the H&M polishes before? Let me know in the comments below and I hope you have a great day!

Young Guns!

On Tuesday I went to see Young Guns in Glasgow! This was my 3rd time seeing them live and they are such an amazing live band, really get the crowd going! I saw them years ago when they supported All Time Low and also earlier this year in Edinburgh. This was by far my favourite gig of theirs!

It was such a lovely day, so I wore a plain grey t-shirt from H&M and high waisted denim shorts from Primark! I tried out a new foundation, the collection lasting perfection foundation. I picked this up as I am a massive fan of the collection lasting perfection concealer, and thought I would give the foundation to match a try. I got the lightest shade porcelain, but it is still a bit dark for me although I can just about get away with it. I really liked the rest of my make up and have remember the combination I used for future use!

So onto Young guns! Their set was incredible, although I would have preferred if they played more songs off of their new album Ones and Zeros, but I did think they played a good mix of old and new!

They started off with a new song, I Want Out, which was amazing for getting the crowd going for the rest of the gig and ended with Bones, one of my favourite songs from their last album! They also played my favourite song from their new album, which is Daylight! I love that song so much, had it in repeat for days when it was released!

I had an incredible time at Young Guns with Lewis and can’t wait for other gigs I have planned for this year! Have you any gigs coming up? If so let me know who in the comments below and I hope you have a great day!

Concealer

So I feel like I have been using the Collection Lasting Perfection concealer forever and I still love it, but I’m starting to feel like I need something more as my under eye circles are so dark!  I have tried drinking more water and things to lighten them naturally but no such luck unfortunately.

I went on the hunt for a fuller coverage concealer to use as well as my collection concealer and I found this!

This is the Rimmel Lasting Finish Concealer, which I have in the shade 010 Porcelain.  I was worried that this would be too dark for me as I use rimmel foundation in light porcelain, but it is actually not too bad although I would prefer it a tad lighter.  The consistency of this concealer is really creamy and doesn’t feel too heavy and cakey on the skin, but still provides amazing coverage!

I have been putting this on underneath my collection concealer and love this combination so much!  The rimmel concealer covers my dark under eye circles and the collection concealer brightens up the area, the perfect combination for me!

What are your favourite concealers?  I would love to know and I hope you are having a great day!
